Interactive Mechatronic Art

Fall 2016, I worked with a team to create an interactive art piece with four unique user interactions, including non-contact sensing and haptic feedback. My primary role was developing the non-contact sensing circuit and software, using phototransistors and an infrared emitter to create software events that selectively turned off certain LEDs of our flower interior. I also developed the mechanical design for the opening and closing of the flower petals, and completed a significant portion of the physical circuit construction.
