Design & Concept
Winter quarter my junior year, my grandmother passed away suddenly. This project was a development of a commemorative piece of jewelry.
I explored trinity and nesting shapes, as well as an overarching flame shape. I wanted to show our generational connection as well as our "fiery" personalities.
I shaped jeweler's wax to prepare for a lost wax casting. I had to be careful in shaping the form, as it was quite fragile. It took two tries to create the final wax piece. The final pendant was cast in silver.
